Hugo Ribeiro went to the wrong direction when Betão Mendonça was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Samuca Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuca Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Hugo Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 minutes, Chiquinho Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buriche and the The Funtos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Buriche's Chiquinho Sá got a free kick in the 28th minute. Renan Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho Queiroz in the 29th minute of play. Samuca Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Buriche getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Samuca Meireles hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Hugo Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Magno Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buriche's supporters rose to their feet, but Magno Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugo Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Magno Rocha was the one to do the kick off. Samuca Meireles struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Hugo Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buriche. Magno Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Ribeiro having to interfere. In the 58th minute Magno Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes, Samuca Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buriche and the The Funtos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hugo Ribeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuca Meireles's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuca Meireles in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Ribeiro saved The Funtos from getting behind. When Samuca Meireles was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. After 71 played minutes Buriche got a freekick which was hit by Samuca Meireles. In the 76th minute, Ezequiel Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magno Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Magno Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Buriche fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magno Rocha couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, The Funtos's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Sá came free, but Hugo Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Magno Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Ribeiro having to make a save. 94 minutes into the match, Magno Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Ribeiro. The Funtos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magno Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the referee ended the match the Buriche players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
