The Bertolinia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giuseppe de Queiroz should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Virgílio Arósio put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Giuseppe de Queiroz. Olavo Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Giuseppe de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgílio Arósio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Giuseppe de Queiroz made a huge save. Virgílio Arósio scored 0-6 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giuseppe de Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Bertolinia's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Toledo came free, but Giuseppe de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas de Azevedo during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Doriva de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the SERRANO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doriva de Andrade couldn't finish the play. Chiquinho Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe de Queiroz having to interfere. SERRANO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
