Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Válbson Prado took the kick off in the first half of the match. Waldir de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Barros having to interfere. After 10 minutes, Fred Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Absoluto FC and the Basu EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Basu EC booed when Absoluto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Absoluto FC's goalkeeper Genílson Pitta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute of the game Norberto Vander made a throw-in which Válbson Prado played forward. After 22 played minutes Basu EC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Miranda. In the 23rd minute of the match Dudu Ramalho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabrício Barros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Joaquim Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute of the match Walmyr Proença shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabrício Barros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 29 minutes, Waldir de Godoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Absoluto FC and the Basu EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, Absoluto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldir de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldir de Godoi in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrício Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hortêncio Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 35th minute, Gil Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Hortêncio Catarinense dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Genílson Pitta, 2-1. When Absoluto FC's Válbson Prado in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Basu EC's goalie prevented a goal. The throw-in from Norberto Vander in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Basu EC's Eugênio Netto. Genílson Pitta made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Hortêncio Catarinense sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Hortêncio Catarinense made the kick off in the second half. Waldir de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabrício Barros was a little too slow when Válbson Prado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 2-2. After 76 played minutes Basu EC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Miranda. Fabrício Barros was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dudu Ramalho. If Waldir de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gilson Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmyr Proença hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Fabrício Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
