Ricardinho Velloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabrício Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Basu EC's goalkeeper Fabrício Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnaldo Capixaba. 26 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Capixaba lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Fabrício Barros. With a little luck, Basu EC's Fabrício Barros got control of the ball when Arnaldo Capixaba tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute Silvinho Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Capixaba got free with Fabrício Barros in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute of the match, Mateus Valladares tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fabrício Barros saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Fabrício Barros successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Cearense in the 41st minute of play forced Basu EC's goalkeeper Fabrício Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Mateus Valladares in the 45th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Basu EC's Hortêncio Catarinense. Fabrício Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Velloso in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilson Messias made a kick off.
