When Rafa Rosa fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zadilinos's protests and gave Rafa Rosa a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Zadilinos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Brelinho:s goal. After a rather tough play, Zadilinos's Beto Luz got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 20 played minutes, Brelinho's José Maria Prestes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lenílson Terra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brelinho reached it. In the 26th minute, Reynaldo de Barros made a precise shot to the right of Lenílson Terra. Zadilinos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 30th play minutes Reynaldo de Barros shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Lenílson Terra and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Brelinho's 韩超洋 got a free kick in the 34th minute. Henrique Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Yuri Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Luís Fábio Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Beto Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Luís Fábio Faria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yuri Trancoso was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Maria Prestes to make the kick off. Lenílson Terra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yuri Trancoso made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Juarês Correia sent off a good shot on target. Yuri Trancoso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Henrique Guerra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 66 minute of play. Beto Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Trancoso having to interfere. Yuri Trancoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Fábio Faria in the 76th minute. Lenílson Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo de Barros in the 78th minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Luís Fábio Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zadilinos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fábio Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Luís Fábio Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Beto Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brelinho's Yuri Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Luz in the 92nd minute of play. Brelinho's Yuri Trancoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Brelinho from getting a goal against them. The Brelinho players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
