The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Brelinho's zone, Válbson Prado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Trancoso came out of the goal and Válbson Prado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Maria Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Pitta having to interfere. Yuri Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmyr Proença made in the 23rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Edmundo Paiva immediately put the ball in play. 韩超洋 hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Yuri Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Mangueira in the 40th minute of play. Yuri Trancoso was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Bruninho Mangueira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bruninho Mangueira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Ignatios Tsagaris's late challenge caught a Absoluto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ignatios Tsagaris helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, one of Brelinho:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brelinho. The excitement rose when Absoluto FC's Dudu Ramalho after 48 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Brelinho's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Maria Prestes to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Fred Queiroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Yuri Trancoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Brelinho booed when Absoluto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. 韩超洋 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th match minute, Absoluto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Vander to maneuver through the defense. With 87 minutes on the clock, Ignatios Tsagaris commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 96th minute, Severino Senna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Genílson Pitta. The goal made the score 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Absoluto FC fully deserved thier win.
