Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ricardinho Velloso got the match started through his kick off. Yuri Trancoso came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pitangueira AD's Thiago Cearense. But to his dismay, Thiago Cearense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rodolfo Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Yuri Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuri Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Capixaba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 15 minutes, Silvinho Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pitangueira AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvinho Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Arnaldo Capixaba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yuri Trancoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Reynaldo de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Abuzer Baysungur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuri Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Cearense in the 28th minute of play. Arnaldo Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 minutes of play, Pitangueira AD's Thiago Cearense made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yuri Trancoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Arnaldo Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brelinho's goalkeeper Yuri Trancoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 38 minutes into the game, Pitangueira AD's Silvinho Barbosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yuri Trancoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Yuri Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago Cearense in the 42nd minute of the match. Ricardinho Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Maria Prestes made a kick off. Ricardinho Vellosos short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Yuri Trancoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Ricardinho Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Pitangueira AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardinho Velloso couldn't finish the play. Abuzer Baysungur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Jeff Cornell thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Yuri Trancoso, a very annoying self made goal in the 86th minute which led to 0-8. Rodolfo Montenegro charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Montenegro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pitangueira AD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
