Thiago Cearense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danilo de Souza having to make a save. Dinko Švalj kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Danilo de Souza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from João Adolfo Meira. After a rather tough play, Anjinho AD's Enio Zonta got a free kick in the 30th minute. The supporters of Anjinho AD booed when Pitangueira AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Anjinho AD's Danilo de Souza got control of the ball when Ricardinho Velloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernani das Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. Pitangueira AD's Cléberson Gaúcho was substituted for Silvinho Barbosa. Vicente Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Mesquita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 played minutes Pitangueira AD got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Marques. Abuzer Baysungur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enio Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardinho Velloso in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danilo de Souza saved Anjinho AD from getting behind. The supporters of Pitangueira AD booed when Anjinho AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pitangueira AD's João Adolfo Meira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Anjinho AD. A collision led to Pitangueira AD getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Nicolas Hoffmann hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Thiago Cearense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo de Souza was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. The supporters of Pitangueira AD booed when Anjinho AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anjinho AD's Vicente Mesquita suffered a concussion in the 93rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 93 minutes into the game, Cléberson Gaúcho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pitangueira AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anjinho AD the free kick. Anjinho AD made a substitution. Richard Travassos replaced Vicente Mesquita. After a rather tough play, Pitangueira AD's Cléberson Gaúcho got a free kick in the 95th minute. Pitangueira AD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
