After 16 minutes of play, Lunáticos FC's Zézinho Lago made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genílson Pitta was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 19 minutes, Luan Vaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Absoluto FC and the Lunáticos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Paraíba in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genílson Pitta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geovani do Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Genílson Pitta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovani do Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. Joel Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Prado in the 38th minute of play forced Lunáticos FC's goalkeeper Edgar Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Válbson Prado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Norberto Vander hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Walmir Britto could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Genílson Pitta however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Paraíba got free with Genílson Pitta in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Genílson Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani do Nascimento in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute, Joel Paraíba made a precise shot to the right of Genílson Pitta. Absoluto FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Genílson Pitta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Paraíba in the 71st minute. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
