But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osmar Loureiro couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 20 in the game by Isaltino Gaúcho from a close distance when the talented Dedé Cavalcante managed to make a qualified save. Porto Seguro F.C's players were relieved. Isaltino Gaúcho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Dedé Cavalcante made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as ≋P≋L≋A≋Y≋B≋E≋A≋R≋'s Isaltino Gaúcho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dedé Cavalcante. That made the score 1-1 after 29 minutes of play. Luiz Eduardo Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dedé Cavalcante came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by ≋P≋L≋A≋Y≋B≋E≋A≋R≋'s Isaltino Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Isaltino Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, Porto Seguro F.C's João Pedro de Amorim got a free kick in the 45th minute. If Isaltino Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when João Pedro de Amorim made the kick off in the second half. Osmar Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Rodriguinho Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodriguinho Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
