Spectators: 7482 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ediberto Albuquerque started the match with the kick off. Hortêncio Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 11 minutes, Perivaldo Cearense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tranquera and the Santos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Perivaldo Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Rui Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tranquera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16thth minute of the game Hortêncio Bueno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos FC's Deivid Damião was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Deivid Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Bueno in the 17th minute of the match. Gerson de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Albuquerque in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto Albuquerque in the 22nd minute of play forced Tranquera's goalkeeper Gerson de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerson de Sousa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Jeferson Tasso made in the 41st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eduardo Sabóia. Gerson de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Alvarenga in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Ignác Markovits ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Deivid Damião was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hortêncio Bueno to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeferson Tasso made in the 53rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ediberto Albuquerque. Gerson de Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horácio Valadares in the 59th minute. In the 61st match minute, Tranquera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco da Silva to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Geovânio Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovânio Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerson de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerson de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Alvarenga in the 65th minute of the match. Naldo Alvarenga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gerson de Sousa came out and tried to block the shot, but Naldo Alvarenga slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 67th minute. Deivid Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignác Markovits, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Hortêncio Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Deivid Damião was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Glauco da Silva hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Gerson de Sousa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 78th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Geovânio Rezende. 80 minutes into the match, Tranquera's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Sabóia came free, but Gerson de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tranquera's attentive Rui Nunes managed to snatch the ball when Geovânio Rezende made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. In the 90th minute, Eduardo Sabóia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Tranquera's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Ediberto Albuquerque scored to the left of an out of position Gerson de Sousa, making the score, 2-5.
