Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Telmo Barral in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Diademons FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dorian Rocha hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Renan Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcinho Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Quadros having to interfere. Falcão's Glauco Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo de Godoi in the 25th minute of play. Renan Siqueira scored 1-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evaristo Andrade, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Falcão getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Renan Siqueira hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Marcinho Duarte in the 46th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Glauco Quadros's left hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 60 minutes, Narciso Alagoano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falcão and the Diademons FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Falcão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. Glauco Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Renan Siqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Falcão's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan Siqueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Renan Siqueira came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Falcão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Siqueira couldn't finish the play. Evaristo Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Délio Berger in the 74th minute of play. Diademons FC's Marcinho Duarte got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Marcinho Duarte off the ground. A collision led to Diademons FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Marcinho Duarte hit a great ball. With a little luck, Falcão's Glauco Quadros got control of the ball when Virgílio Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from João Francisco Netto in the 91st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Falcão's Jardel Coelho. Glauco Quadros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
