The throw-in from Waldir Rosado in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cumbe EC's João Adolfo Soares. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Falcão da Rocha in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robinho Soeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Válter Santos in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tony de Alcântara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nildo Rodrigues in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony de Alcântara saved Cumbe EC from getting behind. Tony de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nildo Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Pedro Luiz Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes Serra Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Vasconcelos. Pedro Luiz Salgado scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tony de Alcântara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Nildo Rodrigues made a precise shot to the right of Tony de Alcântara. Cumbe EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Waldir Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luiz Salgado hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Tony de Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Nildo Rodrigues sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot by Abelardo Prata from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Tony de Alcântara's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cumbe EC's Falcão da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Nildo Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Falcão da Rocha in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robinho Soeiro saved Serra Futebol Clube from getting behind. Gláuber Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Luiz Gustavo de Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serra Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cumbe EC the free kick. 57 minutes into the game, Válter Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Tony de Alcântara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Faustão Miranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robinho Soeiro having to make a save. In the 63rd minute, Nildo Rodrigues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Serra Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. When Serra Futebol Clube's Nildo Rodrigues in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Abelardo Prata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tony de Alcântara. Cumbe EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Cumbe EC's goal looked a bit too open when Nildo Rodrigues came free, but Tony de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Nildo Rodrigues made a precise shot to the right of Tony de Alcântara. Cumbe EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Waldir Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Tony de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Gláuber Lucas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
