In the 3rd minute, Tiago Negri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulysses Simão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ulysses Simão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. The supporters of Leonor Futebol Clube booed when ZAMBRAZUX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Guga Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leonor Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Guga Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guga Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Simão having to interfere. Nildo Vargas charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nildo Vargas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonor Futebol Clube's Claudinei Koehler was substituted for Cido Miranda. After a rather tough play, ZAMBRAZUX's Nildo Vargas got a free kick in the 18th minute. Júnior Sampaio took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulysses Simão. Ulysses Simão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ulysses Simão came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Leonor Futebol Clube's Júnior Sampaio. But to his dismay, Júnior Sampaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Tiago Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ulysses Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulysses Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Rafa de Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonor Futebol Clube's Júnior Sampaio got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Tiago Negri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulysses Simão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rafa de Limas short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Ulysses Simão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 75 played minutes Tiago Negri rounded ZAMBRAZUX's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-7. In the 79th minute Tiago Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 97 minutes, Evandro Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZAMBRAZUX and the Leonor Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Leonor Futebol Clube a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Juninho Catarinense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ZAMBRAZUX's Ulysses Simão. 0-10. Leonor Futebol Clube's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
