Jorginho Mazza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juninho Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Juan Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Jorginho Mazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joanesia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 12th minute of the match, José Pedro Diniz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joel dos Santos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Dadá Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dadá Paraíba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sobral F.C.:s Juninho Marques showed great skill when he stopped Jorginho Mazza:s penalty. After a long run with the ball, Jorginho Mazza did a trick in the 22nd minute in front of Sobral F.C.'s goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 0-2. An impressive performance by Joanesia's Jorginho Mazza! Dadá Paraíba struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Juninho Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joanesia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval Saraiva in the 26th minute of play forced Sobral F.C.'s goalkeeper Juninho Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Durval Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 30 played minutes Joanesia got a freekick which was hit by Dadá Paraíba. Jorginho Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Juninho Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rdth minute of the game Dadá Paraíba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sobral F.C.'s Juninho Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Joel dos Santos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Joel dos Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Pedro Diniz in the 41st minute. Durval Saraiva took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juninho Marques. Juninho Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

53 minutes into the match, Dedê Campidelis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel dos Santos. Joanesia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dedê Campidelis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 57th minute Durval Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Sobral F.C.'s goalkeeper Juninho Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorginho Mazza. Jorginho Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 64 in the game by Dadá Paraíba from a close distance when the talented Juninho Marques managed to make a qualified save. Sobral F.C.'s players were relieved. Abelardo Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel dos Santos having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, José Pedro Diniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sobral F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joanesia the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sobral F.C.'s José Pedro Diniz got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes Sobral F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Campidelis. Gil Félix hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Sobral F.C.'s goalkeeper Juninho Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dadá Paraíba. In the 83rd minute, Gil Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel dos Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Pedro Diniz's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Joel dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê Campidelis in the 88th minute of the match. When the match was over Joanesia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sobral F.C. throughout the match.
