In the 38th minute Luiz Gustavo Ramalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Metal FC got a freekick which was hit by Vitório de Souza. After some careless play in the Lamina defense, Vitório de Souza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reinaldo Meireles. The Lamina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reinaldo Meireles should have stopped the shot. Tomé Amaral struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Zé Carlos Prado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lamina. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Gustavo Ramalho to make the kick off. If Gildo Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Lamina's goalkeeper Reinaldo Meireles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giuseppe Britto. Metal FC's Zé Carlos Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Cosme in the 58th minute of play. If Luiz Gustavo Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Carlos Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Gustavo Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandrinho Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Metal FC defense, Luiz Gustavo Ramalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Carlos Prado. The Metal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Carlos Prado should have stopped the shot. In the 78th minute, Tomé Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Metal FC's Gilberto Teixeira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lamina. After having played for 84 minutes, Gildo Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gildo Paraense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giuseppe Britto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Reinaldo Meireles skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 87 minutes into the match, Lamina's goal looked a bit too open when Gildo Paraense came free, but Reinaldo Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match, Giuseppe Britto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Reinaldo Meireles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Wellington Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Gustavo Ramalho in the 93rd minute of play forced Metal FC's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Giuseppe Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 98 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lamina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Gustavo Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Metal FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Lamina from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
