Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Dinei Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogério Dante in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steve Kerr prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Warnow's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Fernando Vander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oséas Cearense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Ceará's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
