Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Metal FC's Gildo Paraense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes of play, Ceará's Fernando Vander made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Carlos Prado was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Fernando Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th minute, Thomas Milert made a precise shot to the right of Zé Carlos Prado. Metal FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Enrico Barducci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Zé Carlos Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thomas Milert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Prado having to interfere. Ceará's Steve Kerr proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Ceará from getting a goal against them. In the 34th minute, Fernando Vander made a precise shot to the right of Zé Carlos Prado. Metal FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Steve Kerr made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Giuseppe Britto sent off a good shot on target. 42 minutes into the match, Ceará's Dinei Cabral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Carlos Prado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Metal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ceará were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Vander made a kick off. Zé Carlos Prado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcos Félix. Fernando Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Zé Carlos Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Metal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo Baptista to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Ciro Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Vander struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Zé Carlos Prado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ceará. Metal FC's Zé Carlos Prado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Metal FC from getting a goal against them. Steve Kerr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Ciro Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ceará's Fernando Vander got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Fernando Vander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Carlos Prado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos Félix during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ceará getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Marcos Félix hit a great ball. Thomas Milert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Vander in the 93rd minute of play forced Metal FC's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Marcos Félix fired a really elegant long shot, but Zé Carlos Prado threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Vander got free with Zé Carlos Prado in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ceará's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
