Lamina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verdão da Mogiana the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lamina's Dráusio Tande got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Reinaldo Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Ackerman in the 3rd minute of play. Fellipe Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Lamina's Reinaldo Meireles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Ackerman in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Alberto Ackerman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verdão da Mogiana's goalkeeper Fellipe Messias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Verdão da Mogiana's Ciro Rodrigues pulled a muscle in his back after 19 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Tomé Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Gabriel Catarinense's late challenge caught a Lamina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Catarinense helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Verdão da Mogiana's Gabriel Catarinense got a free kick in the 25th minute. Fellipe Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Tande in the 26th minute of play. Fellipe Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 32 played minutes Verdão da Mogiana got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Fernandes. Nelsinho Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Reinaldo Meireles made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Lamina's zone, Silvio Nastasio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinaldo Meireles came out of the goal and Silvio Nastasio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute, Vladimir Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fellipe Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Wellington Cosme struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Fellipe Messias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lamina. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Ackerman was the one to do the kick off. When Verdão da Mogiana's Alberto Ackerman in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lamina's goalie prevented a goal. In the 54th match minute, Verdão da Mogiana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Lamina getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Tomé Amaral hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Wellington Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Alberto Ackerman made a precise shot to the right of Reinaldo Meireles. Lamina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Reinaldo Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Arthur Friedenreich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verdão da Mogiana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur Friedenreich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Verdão da Mogiana's Alberto Ackerman in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lamina's goalie prevented a goal. Reinaldo Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Ackerman in the 91st minute of play. Wellington Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Verdão da Mogiana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Fellipe Messias had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Dráusio Tande's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 98 minutes into the game, Lamina's Dráusio Tande nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fellipe Messias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When the referee ended the match the Verdão da Mogiana players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
