Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Enio Prestes kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Ernani Ramalho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Paulão Fontes, 1-0. Paulão Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Soberano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Brito came free, but Paulão Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Soberano FC's zone, Almir Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulão Fontes came out of the goal and Almir Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th match minute, Maracaja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. After 22 played minutes Maracaja got a freekick which was hit by Almir Brito. If Enio Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Guto Mandrak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doni Mangueira. Maracaja's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guto Mandrak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Enio Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulão Fontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oswaldo Coutinho in the 37th minute. Maracaja's Doni Mangueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Mandrak in the 40th minute of play. Paulão Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Brito in the 41st minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Almir Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. Guto Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Mangueira having to interfere. Paulão Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Soberano FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Délio Palmeira was slow to take the kick. During this time Maracaja's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Maracaja's corner Délio Palmeira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulão Fontes quite easily take care of the ball. Benjamin Cunha's late challenge caught a Soberano FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, Maracaja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Guto Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Maracaja's Doni Mangueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Maracaja from getting a goal against them.
