Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dadá Fernandes took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Diego Mazza threw the ball into play from the sideline. Iara's Valdomiro Motta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 10th minute Acácio Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Iara's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo Maia came free, but Gilson Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilson Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Barreto in the 13th minute of play. The Iara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilson Dracena should have stopped the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Iara's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Fernandes came free, but Gilson Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilson Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. A collision led to Iara getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Genílson Paranaense hit a great ball. In the 44th minute Amauri Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Neves in the 48th minute of play forced Iara's goalkeeper Gilson Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Genílson Paranaense made a kick off. Gilson Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Barreto in the 52nd minute. Zé Paulo Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Gilson Dracena made a huge save. Iara's Gilson Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Neves in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Dadá Fernandes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilson Dracena. Dadá Fernandes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Genílson Paranaense's late challenge caught a VAXCO 777's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genílson Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. Ernani Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gilson Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Genílson Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Iara's zone, Amauri Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilson Dracena came out of the goal and Amauri Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilson Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Maia in the 67th minute of play. Genílson Paranaense hit a great ball. A long shot from Zé Paulo Maia in the 76th minute of play was well struck, but Gilson Dracena made a really good save at the right post. Gilson Dracena made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Benjamin Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Nildo Bueno hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Benjamin Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilson Dracena was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Gilson Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Fernandes in the 86th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernani Linhares during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernani Linhares hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Raphael Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilson Dracena was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Acácio Neves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Acácio Neves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. The Iara fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. VAXCO 777 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
