The referee gave Manaus-AM a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Raimundo de Barros, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mafia FC's Váldson França. 1-1. After having played for 30 minutes, Manfredo de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manaus-AM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfredo de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th match minute, Mafia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Amorim to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laerte Tande made a kick off. A collision led to Mafia FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Telmo Brito hit a great ball. The supporters of Manaus-AM booed when Mafia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrique Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henrique Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 59 played minutes Mafia FC got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Alcântara. Marcinho de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Domingues in the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Oséas de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mafia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oséas de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcinho de Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manaus-AM were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
