With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betão da Silva in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laerte Cardozo saved Eiras SD from getting behind. Artur Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 江响斌, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Betão da Silva notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Eiras SD's Laerte Cardozo. Laerte Cardozo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute, Eiras SD's Manos Di Cola seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Manos Di Cola the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Eiras SD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Manos Di Cola had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Eiras SD! Betão da Silva shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The referee showed Eliseu Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
