The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Santiago Torrente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laerte Tande blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laerte Cardozo having to make a save. Christian Pavon's late challenge caught a Manaus-AM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Pavon helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Eiras SD got a freekick which was hit by Christian Pavon. 18 minutes into the match, Manaus-AM's goal looked a bit too open when 江响斌 came free, but Marcinho de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 played minutes Manaus-AM got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Bertassi. 20 minutes into the match, Manaus-AM's goalkeeper Marcinho de Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 江响斌. Manaus-AM's goalkeeper couldn't reach when 江响斌 21 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 江响斌 struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Marcinho de Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eiras SD. Jânio Velloso charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jânio Velloso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Manaus-AM. Edu Massa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laerte Cardozo. 1-1. After having played for 36 minutes, Hubert Söder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eiras SD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hubert Söder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcinho de Andrade was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luiz Fábio Gonçalves. After 41 played minutes Eiras SD got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Torrente. In the 42nd minute of the match Edu Massa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laerte Cardozo skillfully saved the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Santiago Torrente recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcinho de Andrade. Santiago Torrente showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 江响斌 was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Eiras SD's goalkeeper Laerte Cardozo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manfredo de Lara. 55 minutes into the match, Manaus-AM's goal looked a bit too open when 江响斌 came free, but Marcinho de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Laerte Tande notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Eiras SD's Laerte Cardozo. Laerte Cardozo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 64 minutes into the game, 江响斌 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Marcinho de Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gualter Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Eliseu Velasco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcinho de Andrade. Manaus-AM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseu Velasco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manos Di Cola in the 76th minute of play forced Manaus-AM's goalkeeper Marcinho de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcinho de Andrade came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Eiras SD's Eliseu Velasco. But to his dismay, Eliseu Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Marcinho de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Eliseu Velasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eiras SD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. Manos Di Cola kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Gualter Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcinho de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Eliseu Velasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eiras SD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-2.
