In the 9th minute Carlos Eduardo Amaral collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. 9 minutes into the game, Tao Si Feng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itaretama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SOMBRA DE TERROR the free kick. SOMBRA DE TERROR's Luiz Guilherme Matorin was substituted for Carlos Eduardo Amaral. In the 10th minute, Tao Si Feng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rubens Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Itaretama's Rubens Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério de Amaral in the 13th minute of play. Itaretama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Rafael Marques scored to the left of an out of position Rubens Moura, making the score, 2-0. Rubens Moura made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Reginaldo da Silveira sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SOMBRA DE TERROR getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Tiago Trancoso hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SOMBRA DE TERROR's goalkeeper Dráuzio Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, SOMBRA DE TERROR's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Caton came free, but Dráuzio Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elpidio Caton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Dráuzio Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Itaretama's goalkeeper Rubens Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elano Hoffmann. SOMBRA DE TERROR were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after Itaretama's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Valério de Amaral took the corner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juvenal Freitas during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Itaretama's Juvenal Freitas got a free kick in the 37th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elano Hoffmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo da Silveira in the 51st minute of play forced Itaretama's goalkeeper Rubens Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubens Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Ian Trigo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Rubens Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo da Silveira in the 62nd minute of play. Rubens Moura was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Itaretama's Elpidio Caton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dráuzio Freitas. That made the score 3-2 after 75 minutes of play. Elpidio Caton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rubens Moura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafael Marques went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 86 minutes into the match, Valério de Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubens Moura. Itaretama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valério de Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Elpidio Caton got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Elano Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Itaretama's Rubens Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério de Amaral in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Tao Si Feng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Itaretama's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
