After a rather tough play, Itaretama's Tao Si Feng got a free kick in the 4th minute. Venancio Adrio kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. A hard shot 9 in the game by Filomeno Revuelta from a close distance when the talented Tiago Monteiro managed to make a qualified save. Pe de Sabão FC's players were relieved. The supporters of Itaretama booed when Pe de Sabão FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wellington Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Filomeno Revuelta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Bruce Banner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 played minutes Itaretama got a freekick which was hit by Ian Trigo. Rubens Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiago Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tao Si Feng, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes Pe de Sabão FC got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Paraíba. 32 minutes into the game, Filomeno Revuelta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itaretama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pe de Sabão FC the free kick. 36 minutes into the match, Pe de Sabão FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Revuelta came free, but Tiago Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Filomeno Revuelta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filomeno Revuelta in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Monteiro saved Pe de Sabão FC from getting behind. Tao Si Feng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Monteiro having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anderson Urbano was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Filomeno Revuelta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiago Monteiro was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Filomeno Revuelta took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiago Monteiro. Tiago Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 80 minutes into the match, Filomeno Revuelta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiago Monteiro. Pe de Sabão FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filomeno Revuelta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Tiago Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Revuelta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Pe de Sabão FC's zone, Tao Si Feng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Monteiro came out of the goal and Tao Si Feng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pe de Sabão FC's Tiago Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tao Si Feng in the 96th minute of play.
