Serginho Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Behiç Erkinay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Olympus's goal looked a bit too open when German Cano came free, but José Maria Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, German Cano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fluminense di Parma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers German Cano in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Maria Nascimento saved Olympus from getting behind. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serginho Nóbrega showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Fluminense di Parma's German Canon got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell German Cano to make the kick off. With a little luck, Olympus's José Maria Nascimento got control of the ball when German Cano tried to sneak it across the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Olympus's Ettore Mastrocola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. German Cano hit a great ball. Serginho Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Mastrocola in the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Behiç Erkinay in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serginho Nóbrega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Tiago Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when German Canon put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fluminense di Parma fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! Fluminense di Parma:s Serginho Nóbrega showed great skill when he stopped Ettore Mastrocola:s penalty. Ettore Mastrocola scored 3-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serginho Nóbrega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
