If Nelson Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. SWORD ART's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelson Abraão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 19th minute Gilberto Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Salqueiro's Renan Botelho got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Salqueiro's Nelson Abraão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexsandro Maciel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Amorim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Thiago Tróia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Salqueiro booed when SWORD ART was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Bierhoff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Matos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thiago Tróia having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
Nelson Abraão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oliver Bierhoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Tróia having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Salqueiro got a freekick which was hit by Silas Mota. In the 58th minute, Oliver Bierhoff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexsandro Maciel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gernando Pombal's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Nelson Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alexsandro Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelson Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nelson Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Salqueiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelson Abraão couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, Renan Botelho notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of SWORD ART's Alexsandro Maciel. Alexsandro Maciel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 84 minutes into the match, SWORD ART's Gilberto Matos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Tróia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 86th minute by Gilberto Matos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
