Luciano Breckenfeld blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fred Alcântara having to make a save. Luciano Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Alcântara having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Zeca Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Geraldo Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Santa Cruz FC PE booed when Corinthians-PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeca Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Breckenfeld in the 27th minute of the match. Geraldo Saldanha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fred Alcântara having to make a save. Luciano Breckenfeld had several of the Corinthians-PR's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Fred Alcântara as he didn't even see the shot coming. 48 minutes into the match, Corinthians-PR's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Breckenfeld came free, but Fred Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luciano Breckenfeld to strike the kick off in the second half. Corinthians-PR's Fred Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí de Azevedo in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Breckenfeld in the 58th minute of play forced Corinthians-PR's goalkeeper Fred Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Zeca Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Corinthians-PR's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonathan Novaes was slow to take the kick. During this time Santa Cruz FC PE's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Edvaldo Catarinense heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Luciano Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Fred Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Santa Cruz FC PE booed when Corinthians-PR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Santa Cruz FC PE's Jonathan Novaes tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Breckenfeld in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fred Alcântara saved Corinthians-PR from getting behind. If Luciano Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Corinthians-PR getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Afonsinho de Azevedo hit a great ball. Fred Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Breckenfeld in the 84th minute of the match. If Geraldo Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute Luciano Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Geraldo Saldanha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Cruz FC PE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The audience held their breath when Zeca Alcântara in the 95th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Gildo Diniz's left hand side.
