Luiz Fabiano de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Monteiro having to interfere. 3-0 became the score in the 28th minute when Gilvan Souto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gilvan Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Lúcio Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno de Lara in the 33rd minute of play. Lúcio Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute.
