The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Deivid Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Augusto de Souza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deivid Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. José Augusto de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Paulo Galvão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diguinho Neiva in the 14th minute. Gilmar Saldanha's late challenge caught a Bytes EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilmar Saldanha helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bytes EC booed when New Hope Futebol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deivid Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Renan Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the New Hope Futebol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Mandrak couldn't finish the play. José Augusto de Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renan Mandrak's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Bytes EC's Eusébio Severo got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Dantas was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Deivid Silva could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which José Augusto de Souza however easily saved by the left post. In the 69th match minute, Bytes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Negri to maneuver through the defense. José Augusto de Souza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renan Mandrak's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Deivid Silva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Augusto de Souza. The goal made the score 0-2. When New Hope Futebol's Deivid Silva in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. One of Bytes EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of New Hope Futebol:s goal. New Hope Futebol's Paulo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Neiva in the 94th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renan Mandrak in the 99th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Augusto de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
