Gustavo Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto de Souza having to interfere. Bytes EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Gustavo Meira came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the FUSÂO NORTE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Meira couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Meira in the 89th minute of play forced Bytes EC's goalkeeper José Augusto de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Ernani Bastos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
