Carlos Alberto Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gláuber Rosado having to interfere. Carlos Alberto Vale took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gláuber Rosado. Gláuber Rosado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Arcoverde's zone, Pedrinho Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gláuber Rosado came out of the goal and Pedrinho Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 minutes, Cauã Porto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arcoverde and the Sport Club Uyran players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Cauã Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Sport Club Uyran's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arcoverde the free kick.
