Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Alberto Vale started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Dagoberto de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naldo Peixoto in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nico Donato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 10 minutes into the game, Sandro Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Club Uyran's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Copioba the free kick. Sandro Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Naldo Peixoto took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nico Donato. Nico Donato dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Naldo Peixoto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nico Donato. Sport Club Uyran's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Naldo Peixoto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 21 played minutes Copioba got a freekick which was hit by Gernando Custódio. After 24 minutes, Gernando Custódio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Copioba and the Sport Club Uyran players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Copioba got a freekick which was hit by Gernando Custódio. Pedrinho Salgado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yuri Cordeiro having to make a save. When Jaime Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Copioba's protests and gave Jaime Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sport Club Uyran booed when Copioba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedrinho Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Yuri Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho Salgados short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Yuri Cordeiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With an all-out effort, Sport Club Uyran's Yuri Cordeiro threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carlos Alberto Vale, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 32nd minute, Jaime Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yuri Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Vale in the 35th minute of play. Dagoberto de Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Nico Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Copioba. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vivaldo Montenegro during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vivaldo Montenegro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Carlos Alberto Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Naldo Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Donato having to interfere. In the 46thth minute of the game Naldo Peixoto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sport Club Uyran's Nico Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Copioba were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Naldo Peixoto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nico Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naldo Peixoto in the 54th minute. After 55 minutes of play, Copioba's Naldo Peixoto made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nico Donato was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedrinho Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Cordeiro having to interfere. Nico Donato came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Copioba's Naldo Peixoto. But to his dismay, Naldo Peixoto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. If Dagoberto de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Cipriano Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Uyran's Carlos Alberto Vale got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Peixoto in the 74th minute of play forced Sport Club Uyran's goalkeeper Nico Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dagoberto de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dagoberto de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Copioba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagoberto de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. Dagoberto de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Nico Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Dino Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute of the match Jano Nunes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yuri Cordeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot 91 in the game by Naldo Peixoto from a close distance when the talented Nico Donato managed to make a qualified save. Sport Club Uyran's players were relieved. 94 minutes into the match, Copioba's Naldo Peixoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nico Donato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Naldo Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Nico Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Copioba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sport Club Uyran throughout the match.
