Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Benfica AD's Jarbas Marinho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aloísio de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Castro in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Jarbas Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ale Bande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bernardo Ribeiro fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Benfica AD's protests and gave Bernardo Ribeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Bernardo Ribeiro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute Acácio Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloísio de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aloísio de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Castro in the 17th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Faustão Castro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Benfica AD's Aloísio de Mendonça. Aloísio de Mendonça was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Moema EC's Oswaldo Mendes got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Moema EC were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Benfica AD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Faustão Pinho took the corner. After taking down the ball on Moema EC's corner Faustão Pinho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aloísio de Mendonça quite easily take care of the ball. Ale Bande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas Marinho in the 30th minute of the match. Aloísio de Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustão Pinho went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Benfica AD's Aloísio de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Meirelles in the 39th minute of play. Aloísio de Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustão Pinho in the 42nd minute of the match. Aloísio de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustão Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, one of Moema EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bernardo Ribeiro shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The Benfica AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Moema EC were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Faustão Castro made the kick off in the second half. Ale Bande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarbas Marinho in the 54th minute of play. Aloísio de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute of the match, Oswaldo Mendes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aloísio de Mendonça saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Faustão Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Aloísio de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermínio França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aloísio de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute Moema EC were awarded a corner. Faustão Pinho went to the cornerflag to take it. Benfica AD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Faustão Castro scored to the left of an out of position Aloísio de Mendonça, making the score, 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Faustão Castro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aloísio de Mendonça. That made the score 0-4 in the 73 minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Faustão Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moema EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustão Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faustão Castro struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Aloísio de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moema EC. Benfica AD's Aloísio de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustão Castro in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Moema EC's Luiz Eduardo Sena got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 87 played minutes, Benfica AD's Bernardo Ribeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ale Bande came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Benfica AD reached it. 91 minutes into the match, Moema EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jarbas Marinho came free, but Ale Bande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustão Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio de Mendonça having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Luiz Eduardo Sena in the 95th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Benfica AD's Gildo Cosme. 96 minutes into the match, Moema EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jarbas Marinho came free, but Ale Bande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
