If Anderson Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute of the match Robinho Cerezo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilton Recife showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wilton Recife stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sydney de Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Anísio Linares made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Jacek Serwach sent off a good shot on target. Sydney de Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Wilton Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lemon Haze FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Lemon Haze FC's Anderson Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Maciel in the 69th minute of play forced Vermelhinha FC's goalkeeper Wilton Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacek Serwach blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anísio Linares having to make a save. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vermelhinha FC's goalkeeper Wilton Recife, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lauro Passos made in the 87th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alessandro Simões. A collision led to Vermelhinha FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Walmir Sergipano hit a great ball. Sydney de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Wilton Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
