Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wiktor Petersson got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th play minute Caetano Simões came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Miguel Gomes. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in SC Duque de Caxias's zone, Luiz Fernando Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaltino Leão came out of the goal and Luiz Fernando Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Duque de Caxias's Isaltino Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Ferraz in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match, Wiktor Petersson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Miguel Gomes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Oscar Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a SC Duque de Caxias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. When Caetano Simões got free in front of the goal in the 30th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Miguel Gomes was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. SC Duque de Caxias's Isaltino Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredinho Andrade in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Anecoico FC's Remo Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaltino Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, SC Duque de Caxias's goal looked a bit too open when Giovani Travassos came free, but Isaltino Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 minutes of play Anecoico FC's Oscar Vasconcelos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 39 played minutes Anecoico FC got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Vasconcelos. Egídio Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Miguel Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaltino Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredinho Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. Remo Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Isaltino Leão managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Anecoico FC's Remo Ferraz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The attack was good, but when Alfredinho Andrade in the 61st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 62 minutes, Leonardo Tavares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anecoico FC and the SC Duque de Caxias players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Duque de Caxias booed when Anecoico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaltino Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredinho Andrade in the 65th minute. If Alfredinho Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isaltino Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredinho Andrade in the 70th minute. Giovani Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredinho Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Isaltino Leão made a huge save. Zé Carlos Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Remo Ferraz struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Isaltino Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anecoico FC. Giovani Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredinho Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Isaltino Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaltino Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Travassos in the 87th minute of play. Miguel Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Petersson in the 88th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, SC Duque de Caxias's goalkeeper Isaltino Leão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredinho Andrade. Zé Carlos Cardozo got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to SC Duque de Caxias getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Zé Carlos Cardozo hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Alfredinho Andrade took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Isaltino Leão to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Anecoico FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
