Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jarbas Marinho made the kick off and thus started the match. Aloísio de Mendonça came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Anecoico FC's Luiz Fernando Meira. But to his dismay, Luiz Fernando Meira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Hermínio França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 9 minutes, Jarbas Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benfica AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Benfica AD's Hermínio França dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Jarbas Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benfica AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarbas Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Anecoico FC's Miguel Gomes got control of the ball when Gildo Cosme tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Benfica AD defense, Giovani Travassos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aloísio de Mendonça. The Benfica AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aloísio de Mendonça should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute, Anecoico FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hermínio França fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 23 minutes into the game, Anecoico FC's Luiz Fernando Meira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aloísio de Mendonça made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 25 minutes into the match, Benfica AD's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Vidal came free, but Aloísio de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermínio Franças short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Miguel Gomes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 32nd minute, Giovani Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benfica AD's Hermínio França came free and shot a quick shot against goal 35 minutes in the game, fortunately Miguel Gomes had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Aloísio de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Benfica AD's corner Hermínio França fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Miguel Gomes quite easily take care of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Benfica AD's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Figueiredo came free, but Aloísio de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Benfica AD booed when Anecoico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remo Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermínio França took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Gomes. Miguel Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Gildo Cosme charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gildo Cosme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Benfica AD getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Gildo Cosme hit a great ball. The Benfica AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Anecoico FC were winning 2-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fernando Meira to strike the kick off in the second half. When Fred Peixoto came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Benfica AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Peixoto couldn't finish the play. If Jarbas Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gildo Cosme hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Caco Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloísio de Mendonça having to interfere. Jarbas Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Gomes having to interfere. Hermínio França struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Miguel Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benfica AD. Fred Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarbas Marinho went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. When Benfica AD's Jarbas Marinho in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anecoico FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute Jarbas Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aloísio de Mendonça was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Remo Ferraz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Remo Ferraz really showed his touch with that goal: 3-4. The supporters of Benfica AD booed when Anecoico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Jarbas Marinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Gomes was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. Benfica AD's Aloísio de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Meira in the 89th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Meira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aloísio de Mendonça having to make a save. If Caco Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermínio França in the 98th minute of the match. Benfica AD were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
