Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vermelhinha FC's Gláuber Borges started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Vermelhinha FC's Wilton Recife got control of the ball when Carlos Fernando Dionísio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Naldo Peixoto took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilton Recife. Wilton Recife dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Naldo Peixoto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilton Recife came out and tried to block the shot, but Naldo Peixoto slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 11th minute. Wilton Recife made an important save on a dangerous shot by Naldo Peixoto in the 14th minute. Wilton Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Lucas in the 15th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Naldo Peixoto took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Wilton Recife to make any attempt to save it. Vermelhinha FC's Wilton Recife proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Vermelhinha FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Dagoberto de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Copioba's supporters rose to their feet, but Dagoberto de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilton Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilton Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Lucas in the 32nd minute of play. Wilton Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vermelhinha FC's Elano Trevisan got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 42nd minute Dagoberto de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Vermelhinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Dionísio came free, but Wilton Recife reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

After a rather tough play, Copioba's Igor de Amorim got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto de Queiroz in the 76th minute of play forced Vermelhinha FC's goalkeeper Wilton Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
