SC Duque de Caxias's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taucucúga the free kick. After 3 played minutes SC Duque de Caxias got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Costa. 6 minutes into the match, SC Duque de Caxias's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Rossi came free, but Isaltino Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Nóbrega in the 7th minute of play forced SC Duque de Caxias's goalkeeper Isaltino Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jonas Hansson fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Duque de Caxias's protests and gave Jonas Hansson a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes SC Duque de Caxias got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Hansson. The throw-in from Cristian Ribeiro in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Taucucúga's Thiago Veiga. In the 30th minute Joélson Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaltino Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Hansson kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Taucucúga's Tales Medeiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaltino Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 40th minute, Jean Rossi made a precise shot to the right of Isaltino Leão. SC Duque de Caxias's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Joélson Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaltino Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Mineiro in the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Renan Mineiro made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Taucucúga's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Simões came free, but Bernardinho Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isaltino Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Mineiro in the 53rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Renan Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taucucúga's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaltino Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egídio Seco made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Taucucúga's Tales Medeiros. The crowd rose to their feet as Taucucúga's Joélson Nóbrega slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isaltino Leão. That made the score 0-4 after 63 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tales Medeiros in the 69th minute of play forced SC Duque de Caxias's goalkeeper Isaltino Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tales Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaltino Leão having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, SC Duque de Caxias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. After 77 minutes, Zé Carlos Cardozo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Duque de Caxias and the Taucucúga players grew even worse after the yellow card. Isaltino Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Mineiro in the 82nd minute of the match. Jean Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Isaltino Leão made a huge save. Wiktor Petersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardinho Teixeira having to interfere. Wiktor Petersson took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardinho Teixeira. Bernardinho Teixeira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 94th minute, Almir Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taucucúga's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
