After a rather tough play, Gaviões Futebol Clube's Pedro Luís Cavalcante got a free kick in the 28th minute. Luiz Fabiano de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the game, Willian Botelho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Tião Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Fabiano de Almeida kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elias Pombal. That made the score 3-1 in the 43 minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fabiano de Almeida made a kick off. If Luiz Fabiano de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Bezerra during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Biriguy's Artur Bezerra got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 68 minutes into the match, Gaviões Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Willian Botelho came free, but Tião Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Pombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Fabiano de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Enéas Monteiro charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enéas Monteiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Biriguy got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Monteiro. In the 82nd minute, Enéas Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the game, Luiz Fabiano de Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Elias Pombal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
