Elias Pombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giovanni Pontes's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 20 minutes into the game, one of Biriguy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Giovanni Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute of the match Glauco Paiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elias Pombal skillfully saved the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Biriguy's Igor Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfredo Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Botelho in the 38th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Biriguy's Artur Bezerra got a free kick in the 40th minute. Pedro Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Igor Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Alfredo Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Biriguy. After the first half Sport Club Niquito were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Alfredo Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Fonseca in the 70th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Sport Club Niquito got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Pontes. In the 73rd minute, Willian Botelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duda Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Elias Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olívio Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 83 minutes of play, Biriguy's Ramiro Vides made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Maia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 90 played minutes Biriguy got a freekick which was hit by Artur Bezerra. When Giovanni Pontes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 91 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Elias Pombal was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Alfredo Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Sport Club Niquito's Elias Pombal threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Giovanni Pontes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
