Sem Jeito So Derrota's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erivaldo Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Simão Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sem Jeito So Derrota's goalkeeper Rubens Paulista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ronaldo Santana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simão Cardozo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Simão Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erivaldo Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Aracazinho's Naldo Barral got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 63rd minute, Erivaldo Valadares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simão Cardozo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Sem Jeito So Derrota's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
