Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Laércio Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Seleção do Buteco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio Mesquita couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute of the match, Rafa Vianna got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfredo Maia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 10th match minute, Seleção do Buteco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Maia came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Seleção do Buteco's Arlindo Mota. But to his dismay, Arlindo Mota quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Giovanni Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club Niquito's supporters rose to their feet, but Giovanni Pontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Vargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo Maia didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. In the 23rd minute, Rafa Vianna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfredo Maia. The goal made the score 3-0. Arlindo Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Alfredo Maia made a huge save. With a little luck, Sport Club Niquito's Alfredo Maia got control of the ball when Rafa Vianna tried to sneak it across the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Laércio Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seleção do Buteco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Club Niquito the free kick. The supporters of Sport Club Niquito booed when Seleção do Buteco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute of the match Luiz Fábio França sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Vargas skillfully saved the ball. When Giovanni Pontes fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club Niquito's protests and gave Giovanni Pontes a yellow card for diving instead. Giovanni Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Alfredo Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvaldo Arruda in the 41st minute of play. Sport Club Niquito's Alfredo Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Mota in the 45th minute of play. If Edvaldo Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Giovanni Pontes made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Edvaldo Arruda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Maia. Sport Club Niquito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edvaldo Arruda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Pedro Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Alfredo Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Laércio Mesquita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Arlindo Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Mesquita in the 67th minute of play forced Sport Club Niquito's goalkeeper Alfredo Maia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5-1 became the score in the 72nd minute when Giovanni Pontes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sport Club Niquito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovanni Pontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovanni Pontes in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Seleção do Buteco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Joel Vargas was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Giovanni Pontes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Giovanni Pontes really showed his touch with that goal: 5-2. Seleção do Buteco's Joel Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Pontes in the 86th minute of play. Sérgio Santana was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. The referee gave Seleção do Buteco a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joaquim da Silveira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sport Club Niquito's Alfredo Maia. 6-2. 93 minutes into the match, Sport Club Niquito's goal looked a bit too open when Rafa Vianna came free, but Alfredo Maia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Sport Club Niquito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Arruda to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Edvaldo Arruda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Maia. Sport Club Niquito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edvaldo Arruda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-2.
