Rubens Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Sem Jeito So Derrota's goalkeeper Rubens Paulista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo Loureiro. Rubens Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Braga in the 11th minute of the match. Filipe Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Rubens Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Augusto Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Haroldo Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rubens Paulista was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Rubens Paulista successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 19 minutes into the game, Marco de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sem Jeito So Derrota's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gororos the free kick. In the 20th minute, Haroldo Loureiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Sem Jeito So Derrota getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Laércio Domingues hit a great ball. The supporters of Sem Jeito So Derrota booed when Gororos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Afonso Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haroldo Loureiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Rubens Paulista skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Gororos's Eduardo Melo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rubens Paulista. That made the score 2-1 after 38 minutes of play. In the 42nd minute, Gororos's José Augusto Braga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Augusto Braga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Gororos's goalkeeper Ernesto Dracena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Santana. The referee ignored Gororos's protests and gave José Augusto Braga a yellow card for diving instead. José Augusto Braga hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute Haroldo Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erivaldo Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Dracena having to interfere. Filipe Saraiva succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 75th playminute. If Erivaldo Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Ronaldo Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filipe Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ernesto Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute José Augusto Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gororos were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sem Jeito So Derrota for a fine match.
