Jeferson Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Loureiro in the 13th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gororos's zone, Sílvio Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Dracena came out of the goal and Sílvio Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeferson Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Augusto Braga in the 23rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Carlos Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bento AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Dracena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Luís Eduardo de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 36 minutes, Carlos Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bento AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Vaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeferson Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Augusto Braga to make the kick off. When José Augusto Braga came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Gororos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Augusto Braga couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Vaz in the 56th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bento AD's zone, Haroldo Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeferson Alagoano came out of the goal and Haroldo Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Gororos's Célio Mazza got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Amadeu Sá sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernesto Dracena skillfully saved the ball. Jeferson Alagoano made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Haroldo Loureiro sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the game, Eduardo Melo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jeferson Alagoano. Eduardo Melo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 77th minute, Haroldo Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeferson Alagoano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. José Augusto Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jeferson Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jeferson Alagoano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gororos. Jeferson Alagoano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 85th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. In the 87th match minute, Bento AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Eduardo de Senna to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 89 minutes, José Augusto Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gororos's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Augusto Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 97 minutes into the match, Haroldo Loureiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeferson Alagoano. Bento AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Loureiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5.
