In the 26thth minute of the game Delfim do Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sport Club Niquito's Alfredo Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Duda Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Horácio Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th match minute, AC Cecchetto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson de Salles to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Delfim do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 39 played minutes Sport Club Niquito got a freekick which was hit by Fred Arruda. After 41 played minutes, AC Cecchetto's Lauro Rodrigues shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfredo Maia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AC Cecchetto reached it. In the 45th minute, Kléberson de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delfim do Vale in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Maia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rony Rezende stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delfim do Vale got free with Alfredo Maia in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Delfim do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Cecchetto's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delfim do Vale's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Alfredo Maia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lauro Rodrigues hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Ricardinho Couto's late challenge caught a AC Cecchetto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardinho Couto helped the player get up and apologised. Ricardinho Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. AC Cecchetto's attentive Isaltino Guerra managed to snatch the ball when Olívio Sena made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. Delfim do Vale who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Alfredo Maia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidney Moura during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Sport Club Niquito a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Glauco Paiva, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of AC Cecchetto's Horácio Hermes. 2-1. Kléberson de Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Alfredo Maia made a huge save. Horácio Hermes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
