Pedro Luís Magalhães came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bento AD's Sílvio Ramos. But to his dismay, Sílvio Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Bento AD's Sílvio Ramos got a free kick in the 26th minute. Jeferson Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Cerezo in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Amadeu Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Luís Magalhães. Palmeiras Mundial 1951's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeu Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Palmeiras Mundial 1951's Luiz Maia in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jeferson Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras Mundial 1951's Luís Eduardo Guerra got a free kick in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Cerezo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Anderson Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmeiras Mundial 1951's supporters rose to their feet, but Anderson Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeferson Alagoano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Bento AD's Jeferson Alagoano got control of the ball when Cristian Cerezo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgard Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Diego Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Pedro Luís Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeu Sá in the 63rd minute of play. Cícero Gaúcho hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Amadeu Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Pedro Luís Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Ceresso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 77th playminute. If Carlos Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Bento AD getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Sílvio Ramos hit a great ball. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bento AD's goalkeeper Jeferson Alagoano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
