Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo José Breckenfeld started the match with the kick off. When Unidos do Morro FC's Cafu Paes in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galvao's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Galvao getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Dorival Braga hit a great ball. Edgardo Lekubegi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Breckenfeld in the 9th minute of play. Edmílson Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Paulo José Breckenfeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Unidos do Morro FC's zone, Sandrinho Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Lekubegi came out of the goal and Sandrinho Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Cafu Paes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Armando Trevisan. Paulo José Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Lekubegi having to interfere. The supporters of Galvao booed when Unidos do Morro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Edgardo Lekubegi managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Galvao's Sandrinho Salgado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Sandrinho Salgado took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Edgardo Lekubegi to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Galvao's Edmílson Neves got a free kick in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Galvao's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Paes came free, but Armando Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Cafu Paes made the kick off in the second half. Armando Trevisan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cafu Paes's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Renato Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Dorival Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Lekubegi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in André Luís Baptista heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 59th minute, Sandrinho Salgado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galvao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. If Sandrinho Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cafu Paes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 65th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Edmílson Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sandrinho Salgado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgardo Lekubegi was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. If Sandrinho Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandrinho Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Lekubegi having to interfere. 2-2 became the score in the 78th minute when Cafu Paes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Edgardo Lekubegi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Sandrinho Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Renato Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Unidos do Morro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Gerber couldn't finish the play.
