If Valdomiro Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Augusto Neiva in the 4th minute of play forced Galvao's goalkeeper Armando Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Paulo José Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlinhos Batista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandrinho Salgado's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. José Augusto Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 14 minutes, Adrianinho Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strutz FC and the Galvao players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes Strutz FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Montenegro. With an all-out effort, Strutz FC's Armando Trevisan threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valdomiro Macedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Valdomiro Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strutz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Trevisan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandrinho Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31st play minutes Valdomiro Macedo shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Armando Trevisan and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 35th minute, Paulo José Breckenfeld ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlinhos Batista was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 41st match minute, Strutz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando de Souza to maneuver through the defense. Carlinhos Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo José Breckenfeld in the 45th minute of the match. Carlinhos Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Salgado in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdomiro Macedo to make the kick off. If Bernardo Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Galvao's Armando Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro Macedo in the 55th minute of play. Sandrinho Salgados short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Carlinhos Batista to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Isaltino Miranda hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Breckenfeld in the 67th minute of play forced Strutz FC's goalkeeper Carlinhos Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlinhos Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdomiro Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Trevisan having to interfere. Sandrinho Salgado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Carlinhos Batista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorival Braga during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dorival Braga hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Galvao's Paulo José Breckenfeld sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlinhos Batista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlinhos Batista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandrinho Salgado in the 92nd minute. Paulo José Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Batista having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
